Apps & Games
Small, carefully made apps for iPhone and iPad, and a growing shelf of eleven games you can play straight in the browser.
On the App Store
Games for children, sports for everyone, and study tools for learners of English. All are published under the developer name Zahir Hasan.
Rex Rumble: Dino Battles
A real-time dinosaur fighting game. Pick one of eight fighters, from Rex the T-Rex to Echo the Parasaurolophus, and bite, claw and tail-whip your way through a three-round tournament to take the crown. Block on the warning, charge your special, and watch out: the computer gets sharper every round.
Strike Zone: Baseball Duel
A bat in your hands and a real pitcher on the mound. Read the pitch, time the swing, and tap or swipe for line drives, fly balls and grounders. Play a Home Run Derby or a full nine-inning game, with eight pitch types, three difficulty levels, and fielders who chase down everything you hit.
DinoQuest Puzzles
A gentle puzzle adventure where every finished level hatches a dinosaur. Fifty levels across five kinds of puzzle, sixteen hand-drawn dinosaurs to collect for the Dino Museum, and every fact read aloud so children who can't read yet can play on their own. No ads.
Bug Safari Kids
Search, catch, collect. Peek under leaves and behind rocks in four scenes to find twenty real insects, then chase them into your Bug Book, where each one has a spoken fact. The bugs hide in new places every visit, and the listening game never punishes a wrong guess.
iBT Exam Prep Academy
Adaptive practice for all four sections of the iBT English proficiency exam: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Score 75% on a section and the app moves you up to harder material, with timed speaking tasks, a writing timer and word counter, and exam-style rubrics to check your own work.
Business English Practice
TOEIC® Listening and Reading practice that adjusts to you as you go. All seven parts of the test, audio in American, British and Australian accents, and a scaled score estimate from 10 to 990 so you can see where you stand before test day.
WordPower: English Vocabulary
Vocabulary for upper-intermediate and advanced learners, taught in context rather than as bare definitions. Each word comes as a short episode: a scene, an example sentence, its common collocations, a sentence of your own, and spaced reviews timed to lock it in.
EigoNoJikan (えいごのじかん)
An everyday English conversation app for Japanese speakers. More than thirty lessons with native audio at normal and slow speed, quizzes, cultural notes, and a cherry tree that blossoms as your daily streak grows. The core lessons are free; a monthly plan unlocks the full set.
Browser Games on itch.io
Nothing to install. Each game opens and plays in the browser on a computer or a phone. They are published on itch.io under the name ZachsterA3.
Magnetic Chaos: Keep the Sphere
Steer a gravity well through hundreds of charged fragments. Same charge repels, opposite charge destroys the Spark. Then time slows, your polarity flips and a black hole opens. How long can you last?
Infinite Loot Goblin: One-Button Dungeon
Your goblin runs and fights on his own. You manage the loot. A chest drops every three seconds, the legendaries break the game, and if your bag overflows, you explode.
Earthfall Command: Last Orbit
Command Earth's last orbital defense network against three alien factions. Ten missions over a turning 3D Earth, six regions that each matter, two carrier bosses and three endings.
Tahir Cruiser: Sector Defense
Command a capital battlecruiser against endless hostile flocks. Retrofit your ship between sectors and sink the Dreadnoughts.
Skybound: Storm Courier
The sky is breaking and the islands are cut off. Fly a mail plane through living storms and make every delivery count.
Chrono-Courier
Deliver the cargo. Outrun the city. A fast courier run where the streets are never on your side.
Cinch
Hold to fly. Your lasers lock onto the fire-rocks falling toward Earth; lasso them, close the loop, and burst the cluster.
Lineburst
Draft five shapes, fit them onto the 8×8 board, and burst the lines. The tray is your kit, so choose carefully.
Apex Rush
Tap, draft, slingshot. Ninety seconds to climb from tenth place to first, with big cars and controls built for thumbs on a phone.
Nightline
A night-time arcade racer with drifting and ghost laps. The Vesper circuit is free to try; the full version opens up Kiba and Shiroyama.
Neon Sentinel
Defend the Helios Gate in a fast neon space shooter that works just as well with a mouse as with a fingertip.
The Last Signal
Protect survivors in a collapsing coastal city. Make every shot count, rebuild the safehouse, and live with the choices you make.
Make a game of your own
PlayPine is a small game-making site I built so that anyone can put together a browser game in an afternoon and publish it the same day. Pick a game shape, choose your characters and setting, press Publish, and you get a link that plays on any phone or computer, plus a one-click download for itch.io. No coding and no sign-up.
